"I think therefore I am." Rene Descartes. I know Descartes is known as the "Father of Modern Mathematics." But, you've got to admit he was spot on in his assessment of what it means to exist.
In fact, the essence of the statement is so powerful that it can be used across many disciplines and concepts. It is a most insightful tool to use when you evaluate whether or not you are composing a successful blog.
Let's break it down into the elemental components:
1. Does your blog maintain a stable existence?
2. Has your blog grown in the number of visits you received since your seminal post?
3. Have the number of page views increased since your seminal?
4. Have the number of links to your site increased?
5. Have the number of feed subscribers increased?
6. Have you received peer acknowledgement?
7. If you have attempted to monetize your site have you generated ANY revenue?
These are cluster indicators. Like cluster behavior indicators, you needed have all of the traits to be classified as being successful. But, you could probably safely gauge your DEGREE of success by noting the number of these components you can answer in the affirmative.
